Epis of Haiti: Steak Seasoning - Café delivers a rich, bold, spicy, and smoky flavor with a slightly bitter yet balanced sweetness. The coffee grounds bring a robust, earthy depth that enhances the savory qualities of the steak, while other spices in the mix—like paprika, garlic, and onion powder—add complexity and warmth. The hint of brown sugar rounds out the flavor, creating a subtle caramelized crust when seared. This rub is perfect for those who love a sophisticated, slightly adventurous taste with layers of umami and a smoky, aromatic finish.

How to Use

This seasoning is perfect for grilling or pan-searing steak or pork. For best results, rub your meat with olive oil, generously apply the seasoning, and allow it to marinate for at least 4 hours before cooking.

Ingredients

Garlic, Coffee, Basil, Coarse Salt, Black Pepper, Green Onions, Paprika, Spices, Parsley, White Onion Powder, Brown Sugar, Cayenne Pepper, and Citric Acid.

A staple

My steak was either too salty or flavorless. Never knew what to season them with. Now with this seasoning, I cook steak all the time. It is the perfect seasoning for steak. It makes the steak so flavorful. You can't go wrong with this seasoning. Buy it!

Beyond the Burger: Elevating Our BBQ Game

Get ready, fellow food fanatics, because I'm about to spill the beans (or should I say, the seasonings!) on how we threw an unforgettable 5th Annual July 4th Backyard BBQ for over 75 hungry guests!

Year after year, our Independence Day bash is the talk of the town, and let's be honest, it's mostly thanks to the food. While there's nothing wrong with a classic burger and frank, we've always prided ourselves on taking our BBQ to gourmet heights. In the past, that's meant sizzling grilled lamb chops, succulent lobster, perfectly cooked Branzino and snapper, and an array of choice steaks like rib eye, porterhouse, and the mighty tomahawk. This year, though, we wanted to kick things up a notch – literally. We were on a mission to find something truly special to spice things up!

Thankfully, our culinary quest didn't take us far. We recently stumbled upon (or rather, happily revisited) the incredible Epis of Haiti seasoning brand. We're lucky enough to know the owners, Charles and Sendy, and have been raving fans of their phenomenal cooking for ages. So, when the opportunity arose to recreate a touch of their magic with their seasonings, we simply couldn't resist!
And it gets even better! Charles and Sendy generously gave us a virtual tour of their entire seasoning collection. They walked us through the inspiration behind each blend, offering insider tips on how to best season and marinate our diverse selection of meats and fish. We even got to do a pre-BBQ tasting, smelling and sampling the seasonings straight from the packages to truly understand their unique flavor profiles. It was like a flavor fiesta before the actual feast!

The results? Absolutely mind-blowing! Who knew that the coffee steak seasoning would be such a runaway hit? The incredible mix of their Epis marinade and all-purpose seasoning transformed our chicken into something truly spectacular, and it beautifully enhanced the richness of both the Branzino and the snapper. But the real showstopper of the evening? The lamb chops, kissed with their regular steak seasoning, were simply divine.
Compliments poured in from every direction, and trust me, we weren't about to gatekeep these culinary gems! If you're looking to elevate your grilling game, I can wholeheartedly say that Epis of Haiti seasonings are, without a doubt, the best to come out of the Caribbean.

We're talking a solid 10 out of 10 recommendation! You absolutely have to try them.
